AGIT* (Thurs – Sun, 14–19h), Nansenstraße 2, 12047
AGIT is a public residency and project space which engages with the historical materials from left and social movements to address contemporary questions and present day struggles. Central to AGIT is a series of funded residencies and projects, which will explore different historical materials to make critical interventions in our present. AGIT runs an ad-hoc public programme that builds on the work of these residencies through activities, such as exhibitions, reading groups, work-sessions, screenings, talks, workshops, and publications.
Khan Aljanub° (Mon, Tues, Thurs – Sat, 12–19h)
Khan is a Persian word meaning a house for travelers and caravanserais on long journeys. Khans, also found in many Arab countries, were used as markets for trade and as hotels for merchants and travelers traveling from one country to another. In Berlin, Khan Aljanub carries the symbolism of the name, sourcing and selling books from Arab countries in a European city with a large number of Arabic language readers as well as those interested in its affairs, issues, stories, and historical, philosophical, and present questions as well. It also offers a selection of books translated into German and English, whose contents reflect the rich stories, ethnicities, and languages of the countries of the Global South.
Museum Called Baby (by appointment only)
Museum Called Baby was born in 2025 and is a privately funded, small museum currently growing into a living archive where unfolding relationships are recorded, memories collected and the boundaries between the public and private are explored.
